Wayfinding System at Zoo
The objective of my graduation project is to create a wayfinding system for the upcoming
zoological park at Thrissur. The vision of the zoological park is to raise awareness and appreciation for the significance of habitat and wildlife conservation, as well as serve as a platform for education and research.
The system includes signage, maps,
information, identification and directional
displays that provide visitors with clear
and concise information.
The project methodology includes
extensive research which includes visiting thrissur, mysore and trivandrum zoo's. Stakeholder consultation, and a user-centered design approach that emphasizes the importance of the visitor experience.
Expected outcomes of this project
include an immersive and informative
signage system that enhances the visitor
experience, promotes conservation
messages, and educates on the importance
of coexisting with wildlife. The project
will also contribute to achieving the SDGs
related to sustainable tourism, education
and wildlife conservation.
